India Positive is a sourced, fact-checked archive of India's achievements, innovation, culture, environment, sport, and hidden history — explicitly positioned against generic "good news" sites by requiring a citation for every claim and surfacing a Verified / Pending / Disputed trust badge on every piece of content.

How we verify

1. A story starts Pending while our editors research it.
2. It becomes Verified once at least one primary source confirms the claim.
3. If sources conflict, it is marked Disputed — the story stays live with a changed badge; we never unpublish for being disputed, because transparency beats suppression.

Publish status vs. verification status

These are two independent fields. A published story can simultaneously carry a "disputed" trust badge — publish status controls visibility, verification status controls the trust badge shown to readers.
